 What is Patient Bill Pay?



 


If you are enrolled in Patient Bill Pay, all patient statements generated from edgeMED will include a link for patients to pay online.

 
At the website, the patient will enter their account number from the statement, their date of birth, and their last name.

Once their account is located they can see their balance and pay online.

 


 

If you're using the Personal Health Record (PHR) via our EHR, patients can also access statements and pay their bills right from the PHR.

Setting Up Patient Bill Pay


Once your practice is enrolled, our team at edgeMED connects you with our third-party vendor, Paya, to continue the setup process. You'll be provided with a Merchant ID and Merchant Key from Paya. Paya is a global leader in payment solutions.

Log into edgeMED practice management system and select Setup Bill Pay from the Utilities menu (gear icon). Next, you'll enter the ID and Key to complete the set up. Once the details are saved, you'll begin seeing the Patient Bill Pay details on your statements and in the PHR.
