  • Our Full Suite is a fully-integrated portfolio of software that includes Electronic Prescribing, Electronic Health Records including patient portal, and Practice Management with scheduling and billing solutions.

  • edgeMED's products are designed to accommodate providers with multiple offices or locations. Our solutions offer a convenient and user-friendly way to distinguish between various practices and locations. Information seamlessly circulates between all these places, ensuring it stays current in real-time.

  • Our patient portal helps keep you connected with your patients by giving them the ability to view medical data, download and sign consent forms, access wellness information, get lab results, schedule appointments, and pay bills online.

  • Our platform includes native features for patient notifications through email, text, and voice messages. While email notifications are complimentary, voice and text message notifications carry a small fee determined by your usage.

  • The hard token is ideal for providers who are only using a single username with edgeMED. The hard token is a physical device, about the size of a car key fob. The soft token is loaded onto a cell phone or other mobile device and is best for providers who have multiple edgeMED prescriber logins who need to toggle between tokens for more than one edgeMED username.

  • Our Electronic Prescribing system meets the requirements of state Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) mandates, and it is certified to comply with EPCS mandates in all states, including the federal "Every Prescription Conveyed Securely" mandate that became effective in 2021. Our electronic prescribing solution (eRx) can be seamlessly utilized within our EHR software or subscribed to as a standalone service while still being seamlessly integrated into the PM module. Key features of the eRx system include Surescripts and DEA certification, real-time interactions and history, extensive reporting capabilities, and the inclusion of patient-specific formularies.



Setup

  • The edgeMED software platform is cloud-based and accessed through popular web browsers, such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox. There is no software to install and edgeMED works on both Mac and Windows operating systems, as well as mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.

  • Recommended specifications are:

    • Operating Systems: Windows and Mac

    • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome (recommended), Microsoft Edge (Chromium Version Only), or Mozilla Firefox

    • Processor: 2 GHz processor

    • RAM: 4 GB of RAM or better

    • Screen Resolution: 1920 at 100% zoom is recommended, but at a minimum 1280x800

    • Internet Speed: 25 mbps is preferred, but anything greater than 10 mbps is acceptable

  • Your level of involvement during the implementation process will vary, ranging from minimal to potentially not required at all, depending on the specific product. If needed, we will supply you with a list of information and data requirements, and from that point onward, we will handle the rest.

  • On average, edgeMED's solutions are typically up and running within days or weeks:

    • Electronic Prescribing: 5-7 business days

    • Electronic Health Records: 10-15 business days

    • Practice Management: 5-25 business days

    • Full Suite: 15-25 business days

  • edgeMED provides a no-cost data import service for your patient demographics, insurance details, and PDFs as part of the implementation process. Your designated edgeMED project coordinator will supply you with the essential files.

  • When using multiple edgeMED products, a single login is all that's required due to our unified and integrated software platform, eliminating the need for individual logins for each platform.

  • edgeMED partners with Experian PLC (a consumer reporting company) to verify your identity based on the information included in your credit report. Our ID proofing process is not a credit check. No hard or soft inquiries will appear on your credit report.

  • All service and support team members are based in the U.S. You may reach us Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm EST (critical support is available on weekends during specific hours).

  • We handle product support and implementation in-house and do not outsource these services. All our edgeMED implementation and support experts are situated at our Boca Raton headquarters in South Florida. Our representatives have a success rate of over 90% in resolving customer issues during the first point of contact.
