Use health maintenance rules.

Health Maintenance Rules in our program enables you to set up special rules for certain patients or groups of patients. For example, you can send an annual reminder to patients with A1C lab results over 5.7% to make a diabetes evaluation appointment. Or to contact patients for follow-up care.

Setting Up a New Rule

Click the Utilities icon. — Click the **Utilities** icon.

Click Health Maintenance Rules within Other User Tools. — Click **Health Maintenance Rules** within Other User Tools.

Click Add Rule. On the screen that follows, enter the parameters and click Add. — Click **Add Rule.** On the screen that follows, enter the parameters and click **Add**.

 Maximum age is required if you enter a minimum age. If all patients over a certain age need to be included, use "200."

Viewing Health Maintenance Rule Details

If you would like to generate a list of patients who qualify for created rules, click on the rule name and then click View. — If you would like to generate a list of patients who qualify for created rules, click on the rule name and then click **View**.

Mark Health Maintenance as Completed

Select the patient(s) name and click Mark Performed. — Select the patient(s) name and click **Mark Performed**.
